Therapeutic activities and workshops

1Example of Self-management / Autonomy Activities

Self-management activities are internal to the CTR and concern daily living, the use of personal and common spaces, taking care of oneself and one's space, personal hygiene, etc. They are reported and discussed in the self-management assembly on a weekly basis, which represents the moment for identifying, discussing and organizing activities (both self-management and the organization of internal or external therapeutic/rehabilitative activities). All guests of the CTR, program managers, tutors and operators participate in it. The agenda results from the proposals or complaints that both guests and staff can bring (written on a specific O.d.G meeting sheet).

They can be divided as follows:

  • Weekly self-management meeting
  • Weekly meeting for the preparation of the menu
  • Laundry (with individual calendar)
  • Cleaning and restoration of common areas (with individual calendar)
  • Care of personal space (with weekly supervision and daily attention)
  • Small expense (with operator)
  • Small internal jobs (with agreed timetable)

2Example of Therapeutic Activities

Therapeutic activities include: individual interviews, therapeutic groups, therapeutic workshops. They can be carried out both inside the CTR and outside.

They can be divided as follows:

  • Interviews with the psychiatrist of the referring service
  • Individual psychotherapeutic interviews, both with service therapists and where not activated with an external therapist
  • Therapeutic Group
  • Art therapy laboratory
  • Writing workshop (with possible publication of works in magazines such as Format/Informer, in which space can be requested)
  • Course

3Examples of Rehabilitation Activities

Consider the territory as a therapeutic resource. Close contact with volunteer groups, parishes…

The personal programs are focused on the real possibilities of the moment, aimed at the "enabling" or "re-enabling" of skills that are still unexpressed or unused, essentially focusing on the enabling of relational skills and the acquisition of small specific skills, but above all on the usability of subjective resources.

The proposed activities are therefore diversified, both group and individual, linked and connected to the territorial resources available integrated with the personal services operating in the reference context.

Examples:

  • Bookbinding workshop for three afternoons a week (only for some)
  • Protected work placements
  • Therapeutic Group
  • Internal course on computer literacy and use of PCs and the internet (already used by some patients on the guest PCs)
